Dude. Don't they know better than to piss you off? You'd think.
Also love me some Kai Ryssdal. Though I must say, the thing about NPR people that throws me more than not knowing their faces even though I recognize their voices, is that I have NO idea how to spell any of their names. And some aren't surprising, but there's a few that I'm like "Wait, what?"

Yeah. A lot of the time, I just haven't thought about what that sound would look like, written down -- like John Ydstie, say.
I actually just looked up how to spell Kai Ryssdal's name last week, mostly because I was curious to know what he looked like. (The answer is: pretty similar to what I expected, yet somehow totally different. I didn't think I had an actual mental image of his face until I saw his real face and thought, That's not him!)
I think I could recognize Steve Innskeep, Renee Montagne, Robert Siegel, and Melissa Block by their voices. And Kai Ryssdal, and Click & Clack, of course. And Ira Glass and Terri Gross, but those are a given.
Edited to spell Renee Montagne's name right!
I think I would recognize the voice, but not be able to figure out why. Like when I see someone I know as a worker in a particular store outside of that store and I have no idea why they look familiar.

I had that on an early-release day when it took me forever to realize that the familiar-looking people on the bus were all from the cafeteria!
I would recognize Ira Glass, David Sedaris, Sarah Vowell and John Hodgman's voices instantly. And Colbert and Stewart. And then the A's and Giants announcers (particularly the A's play by play man, Ken Korach. He's so awesome.)
And Colbert
You mean Phil Ken Sebben. (Best voice work ever.) (Okay, maybe also Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor.)

Oh, man. Marty and Joe were the Reds announcers for my whole damn life. I would recognize them with just a few syllables.
Oh, cool. This one's for Jilli: A troop of folks cosplaying The Endless.
Aww, they did a great job! And no glaring photoshop trickery, which is nice.
Am I a bad person for wanting to sit back with popcorn and watch the cultural appropriation kerfuffle happening in steampunk land?(Of course, it helps that the person who is being an ass is someone I am ... less than impressed with, anyway.)
