The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Thanks Kat! That's what I was thinking, but I wanted to check and see what someone in the trenches thought, in case I was missing something.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Nice-looking floors, Zen!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My dinner was Farina. Low effort and soothing to the throat were my only criteria. Coughing all the time is really tiring, plus I had to be at work at 6:30 this morning. I am so not wired for that.

I found myself standing next to Tom Brokaw for a few minutes this afternoon. And I saw Colin Powell across the room.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I made the carnitas tonight from the monthly cooking. But since I had today off (thus begins a season of Monday holidays for the Feds) instead of taking advantage of pre-made food, I spent a couple hours making homemade pickled onions, roasted salsa, and margaritas.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Gah, just had a painful convo with my dad about why I won't buy a house to live with them.

In sum: living with me will not fix their problems, like lack of socialization, and they are going to need professional care at some point. (Also, what I didn't say: I would go MAD.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am worried that 30 won't pass. Basically I am dreading this election.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You would certainly go MAD. Please don't ever do it.

I am worried that 30 won't pass.

I had a hard time covering a 12 week instead of 10 week summer for the SF School District. People will fucking shit if they have so many more off days from the schools. I don't know if they realize that's what's at stake.

The status is NOT quo.

I will definitely vote for 30 and am iffy on 38. Twenty fewer instructional days is an entire month which obscene in terms of instructional minutes and what can be learned.

I'm in the same boat, though I don't have personal skin in the game. I am terrified 30 won't pass.

This is good though! Yay standing up for yourself and being firm on boundaries, when it is the right thing to do! You are correct, and it would not fix their problems (and would only make you miserable). Be strong!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Absolutely what meara said.
