Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I was posting during the early stages of labor for both kids. Not while pushing.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Yay, baby Rose! Congratulations Kate and Mark!

Didn't someone post *during* labor, or am I delusional?

Deena, I think?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Posting at the beginning of labor sounds right to me -- as a person who has never been in labor! But isn't there a lot of killing time at the beginning? For many people, at least?

I would love to have a mental health day today -- or at least a hide-out-in-my-office day, but I have a stupid interview! At least I'm doing the interviewing so I don't have to be that impressive, but I guess I'll change my shoes.

FWIW, my CV is only 10 pages.

Not FORTY!

Mine is forty, but I work in a research university where it is kind of hard to explain what you do in the abstract.

"What is it that you do, exactly?"

Well, I teach two hours a week. For half of the year, at least.

"And?"

And I think about things.

"Yes?"

Hard things.

"Oh?"

Uh, here is my Vita. It's all there.
