I need the advice of the Buffista Hivemind: have any of you folks been to a media event where cellular devices aren't allowed? I'm going to a Tim Burton double-feature which will also be screening a featurette on the new Frankenweenie, and the the theatre just sent out the following update:
"There will be a "no tolerance" policy on any electronic devices in the auditorium, which includes cell phones. Security personnel will be on hand to check for devices, so we encourage patrons to leave cell phones and other devices in their cars or at home for this event, or else they will have to be checked at the door."
I'm not thrilled at the idea of checking my phone, but I don't really have another option.
Man, car thieves are going to have a field day breaking into cars at that event.
Still want one of those little pigs for a pet?
Help me come up with Zombie-based vocabulary quiz questions for my son at [link] or via Twitter at #ZombieVocab. I don't want to have to think of them myself.
I've checked phones at an event. It was kind of like checking a coat--they put them in numbered ziploc bags and gave a a ticket. They were waiting to give them back at the end of the film.
Ah-ha! Thank you, Scrappy. That makes me feel a little better about the idea. Apparently Disney is insisting on super-tight security for the event. If only it were because Tim Burton was going to be there.
I sent you some blood-thirsty sentences, Gud.
Awesome. Doing themed vocabulary tests really helps his retention.
I threw a few your way, but I think Ginger beat me to all of them. She's fast, man.
