The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yay for your good news, Scrappy!

I'm sorry about your job news though, Theodosia. I wish we could have a Good News Only day once in a while.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I wish we could have a Good News Only day once in a while.

God, right? Sorry, Theo.

I think the main woman on Call the Midwife kind of looks like my grandmother. I mean, obviously a bunch of it is styling, but I think she really does.

I'm sorry Theo. I hope you find something.

I'm so happy for the news on your Mom, Scrappy.

I thought I had set a Season Pass for Call the Midwife, but it didn't record. harumph.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Shit. I have not read personal email today. Not even once.

I can't remember ever being so busy that I didn't at least *realise* I hadn't read email.

Oh man. Oh man. I'm so glad I don't go that way anymore.

It's even worse than I thought it would be. I wanted to run an errand in River North after work and didn't want to double back to Wacker to catch the 136, and there was a Cubs game so I wanted to avoid the Red Line. I took one of the express buses that normally run up Michigan Ave to LSD.

Chicagoistas, DO NOT DO THIS. Learn from my mistake. It will add at least an hour to your trip.

Oh, hey--I could go home. I've met almost all the requirements for my noon deadline tomorrow. Now for all the other deadlines this week...

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

my 6.3 mile drive home took me 53 minutes tonight, because of traffic.

I was in such a bad mood when I walked in the house that even Bubba had the sense to leave me alone for a bit.
