Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

How did the interviews go, Cash?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Wahoo! I stopped by the new deluxe supermarket to pick up salad and sodas, and spotted some dragonfruit in the produce section. It's the first time I've stumbled across any in the South in about 5 years, and you better believe I snapped up the two freshest-looking ones. It means I'm going to opt for a cheap lunch rather than eating out tomorrow, but you won't hear any complaints about it from me.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The phone interviews with the Boston firm went well. They have openings in Boston and Seattle. He has interviews with a second Seattle firm and a company in Worcester, MA next week. I'm encouraged by the number of openings out there.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Please note, my "oh jeez"es were said in totally different tones, as reflects the totally different levels of seriousness of the actual situations.

That was totally clear.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jesse Williams definitely does need a haircut.

Where do we send the letters? This is important, dammit. I mean, once I've finished writing the poem to Misha Collins' new baby.

The pic they decided to tweet apparently had nip, so they just smudged Mummy's boob and tweeted it instead of doing distracting things like taking another one.

I dropped by doc's office (just got off a work call in time--I do have a Sunday 10PM deadline, and it's pointless, since it's not like anyone can give me any information between now and then--it's just extra time for me to make my piece with my invention) and asked for a questionnaire they were supposed to send me. Which was dumb, because I managed to Google it on my phone while they were still talking and the only reason I left was because I told them I'd just call Monday instead--they were Googling too, but I have no idea what their search terms were.

Squee! Best of luck to him, but I selfishly am hoping for Massachusetts.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Where do we send the letters?

[link] At least there's a recent picture up there with short hair, but I don't think positive reinforcement would hurt.

I love that it's basically politics (him) and his hair (us).

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Anybody else watch "Made in Jersey"? They just tried to have a scene that shows that this character, a woman who grew up in a blue-collar family and has recently graduated law school, is a total bad-ass rebel who doesn't go along with the silly WASPy rules of what's "proper," by showing her getting a tattoo. A star, about 3/4 of an inch across, on her hip, where it's easily covered up by clothing. This is ridiculous.
