Oh, yeah. There was this time I was pinned down by this guy that played left tackle for varsity... Well, at least he used to before he was a vampire... Anyway, he had this really, really thick neck, and all I had was a little, little Exact-O knife ... You're not loving this story.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

sumi, just yesterday I saw someone with that very purse in the elevator at work!

Also, if SF is not an option (pout), then Cash and family in Seattle would be spectacular.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

So a not-boss, but someone in the dept I support was tasked with drafting an itinerary for a trip he is taking with big boss. I am working on transferring the itinerary to a standard form and I realize he has NOT FACTORED IN TRAVEL TIME FROM SITE TO SITE. IN RURAL MOUNTAINOUS AREA!!! Seriously?!?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

It is Friday and I am home, why oh why must the drinking wait? Oh right, because I need to go pick up the kids first. And then grade. sigh.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I worked from home today so I am just now on the bus to downtown so the drinking can start.

I decided since I did a bunch of work earlier in the week like whoah, and got home at almost 1AM last night, that I didn't feel like working today. I was on a telecon for an hour, answered a few emails, and then was on with the IT helpdesk for an hour (and they still didn't fix the problem), at which point I gave up, met a friend for sushi, and walked her dog to the park with her for a couple hours. (...I do have at least one thing that I really really should do today, and plenty of things I need to do at some point soon, but...)

I'm going to pay bills now, instead.

Wow, that's sweet. The kitchen's nice & roomy.

This place is tempting: [link]

Though by the time I'm ready to buy, it'll be gone. And it needs some work. I like the tile on the kitchen floor, though.

I like this one better, and it's farther from the highway: [link]

But that one will be snapped up right away. Pity: the skylights would be really sweet.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You guys, I have never been happier for pouring rain on a Friday night. I couldn't possibly do anything other than sit here tonight, and it's the most weather-appropriate thing!

brillig

Well, the man claiming to have a bomb last did have what the police are describing as "explosive potential," but they're not releasing just how much. He called himself Mr. Kinshiro and claimed to be Yakuza and a hitman and to have been jailed 35 times. Among other things. So it's unlikely last night's events would have ended up any way but messy.

IO "oh jeez" news, Jesse Williams definitely does need a haircut.
