Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
so I almost just told one of my bosses to "Use Your Words".
Not sure he would have understood. I have now heard him on phone calls 3 times talk about how he does not have his computer, because IT is working on it. He is complaining on the current call about not knowing his schedule. 1) he has a blackberry with the calendar. 2) ASK!!!
SO of course being a competant admin I print out today's schedule and the first 3 weeks of Oct for him. He just seemed confused that there was a possible solution to his complaining. Total Oddball.
Tim has totally got Thor hair. Although Plei said he looks like Roger Daltrey, which pleased him, too.
(Although, really? HOBBIT.)
He looks a bit like CK in that picture. (Eta: Thor does. I concur with Roger Daltrey for Tim)
Oh good lord, now I'm trying to imagine CK playing Louis CK in a dream sequence or something. What is wrong with me?
I would be happy to take a salted caramel cupcake off your hands, Suela.
so I almost just told one of my bosses to "Use Your Words".
That is always appropriate.
Why does my one coworker always hand me little bits of paper? I don't want little bits of paper! She literally just gave me a half-sheet of paper with an email printed on it. She totally could have just forwarded me the email and there would have been no paper involved! Also, I would have been able to find the message again.
I'm still a big fan of the hardcopy, because I like to take out my pencils and pens and markers and make notes and stuff. Including the occasional triple stars and exclamation points and frowny faces.
But I draw the line at printing out hardcopies for other people.
Psst, Jesse is msbelle's oddball coworker, don't tell.
I have an irrational hatred of Post-It notes. It drives me crazy when people just use them to jot things down, and don't stick them anywhere. It seems like a waste of stick-um. I did love them in college when I had to mark pages of art books to photocopy for costume research, but now I pretty much google and print, so no need for them there.
She also likes to give me newspaper articles I may or may not care about, often connected to my personal life.
If ONLY she were giving me things that were useful but I hadn't thought to ask for!
Johann used to wear the ultra-casual half pony while he trained and I loved it to bits.
I'm not in love with the RE5 hairstyle, but it's true to the game, so there you go. I just hit up Tumblr to see if he'd let anyone take pictures of him with the half pony, and it's all strictly pro pics, as is perfectly sensible. It's weird how many people hate him for Leon in RE5, and how many people think he looked just like the character. Uh, he's a square-jawed guy with floppy hair? It's weird how much gets seen into it, whereas I'm flipping out about the right dark haired guy to play Batman, because that totally makes sense.
Today I got my second call from Optum RX about "a prescription" from "my doctor" and they want my information to verify we can talk. Um, hey, lady? I don't answer the phone and give out my name, birthdate, and address, you know. It took way longer for her to give me the doctor's name than it should have. Saying "Well, ask your doctor, then" is unhelpful when you have more than two. And it didn't make sense even when she explained it was Botox and migraine doc, since I already had it, and don't know if it works yet to order it again. Goddamned pushy. Never mind the guy who showed up AT MY HOUSE when I wasn't there to give me a sleep apnea test. Please. Communicate.
