Xander: I do have Spaghetti-os. Set 'em on top of the dryer and you're a fluff cycle away from lukewarm goodness. Riley: I, uh, had dryer-food for lunch.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I've been going line dancing for weeks now. Got taken out by a drunk fool. Didn't hurt anything but my pride. Embarrassing.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I haven't seen any new TV this week. I should remedy that. But not tonight.

I finally got the YES removed from my back. I found a soy based graffiti cleaner at school that did the trick. Probably not great for the skin but...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

GA so far is like a parade of "You are bored now."

One can hope they resolve some of the things they must to make it less boring, but clearly some other things are going to be boring forever more. And I feel sorry for the people that don't bore me, that I will be less and less likely to watch them, and also Jesse Williams should cut his hair. I just watched Cabin In the Woods and he was mega fine there.

So our local CBS affiliate has a news scoop that is the envy of every program manager--a bomber across the street.

Their news set is in the lobby of an office building, with big windows on the street. About 20 minutes before air time, one of the news directors gets a call from a guy saying he's outside the building and he's got a bomb. After a couple of minutes talking, news director puts the bomber on hold and calls the cops. The bomber hung up, but the news people got a camera in the window and has been showing the guy pacing across the street with the cops lurking around and one brave soul within 15 feet talking to him.

On the other channels, they've go reporters on the street outside the blocked off area, saying things like "reported bomber" and "unconfirmed reports," and Channel 2 has a reporter trying to be very calm while they film the guy maybe 40 feet away. They weren't allowed to go fully on the air because the cops told them not to light up the set in the lobby.

I just know there's a program manager going "Oh, thank you lord, oh, please don't let it blow up, oh, thank you for this ratings coup, oh, I don't want my building blown up."

He's still there at last report.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

GA so far is like a parade of "You are bored now."

Seriously.

Plus the preview made me prospectively bored.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Not just the program managers. Everyone vaguely near news.

It's wild when news is happening right there. I hope everyone is okay. But damn, that is news happening in your front yard. Stupid things make me miss news. A disturbed person threatening violence shouldn't trip it. But it's happening right there.

I really do hope everyone is okay though. And that the person gets help.

Latest reports have the cops shooting the guy. He was life flighted to the nearest hospital, which is about a mile away from downtown. We'll know more in the morning, I guess.

I worked news in college, so I've got some of that newshound in me. I wonder who they woke up in New York to say "You're not going to believe the footage we've got."

I don't think it goes away. Ever.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Our public transPort paper has an Overheard section, which is usually unremarkable; but two caught my eye today:

"How is Osama the President of America? Weren't they trying to kill him at one stage? Americans are so dumb."

There you go, Americans. You so dumb.

"I want a guy who will make me laugh and also keep me safe."
"So you want a clown ninja."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ha!

Jesse Williams should cut his hair. I just watched Cabin In the Woods and he was mega fine there.

Ditto Hems.
