information libertarian

If there are other people who have SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE of disposal of that thing you work on, I will be sort of amazed.

I mean, I once saw an academic job posted where they wanted someone who could teach latin and greek and also knew Chinese archaeology, and they found a person, but still.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Budget Motivation - If I cut back our eating out budget by one-half, that will cover our hotel room for 5 days by the time we take the trip. Clearly, we have been out-of-control in that area.

brillig

My favorite xkcd is the "You're a Kitty!" ridiculous things you say to cats one, very closely followed by Click & Drag. There are other good ones but I can't find the links at the moment.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ION, I just interviewed a new realtor. He is going to send me a marketing report in a day or two.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Relatively speaking, hooray, I guess.

That sounds about right.

Went out at lunch and bought cupcakes: left one on my boss's desk.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Suela, you are a good person with the cupcake thanks. I'm glad they fixed your posting. Just. Ohmigod. Still sending jobma.

In incompetent coworker news....

Two weeks ago, they moved one of my classes to a colleague to teach it as an auxiliary. They were then supposed to create a class in my 3rd period as honors lit. I have an awesome and exciting curriculum for it and am stoked about teaching it. I gave them a list of kids and then... nothing.

Today I came into work because I thought they have not filled the class yet. I have no students. I'll leave and go home at 12:00 since I don't feel 100%. But no. They GAVE ME STUDENTS TODAY. But not all of them. Just 9. So I'm babysitting and still not teaching.

This issue could and should have been resolved before school started, when I pointed the issue out. It's been 7 weeks. GROWL!

Also, I'm with Steph. My fave is Someone is Wrong on the Internet.
