Oh man, Kat.

Consuela, I hope this one is a cakewalk.

Came in to my phone ringing and ended up having wine on the deck with Brian, who needed to vent. His next door neighbor is a seemingly guileless user and she just put one over the top tonight and he needed to bitch. So we drank wine and ate carrots and hummus and spinach kale dip (in greek yogurt. It's REALLY tasty, and you can pretend it is super healthy!) And this after a good swim.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Sorry about the stone, Kat.

Good luck, 'Suela! About time!

Our last home bout, I had a girl who was on my ass the whole time--she wouldn't rest until she put me on the ground (which she decidedly DID NOT DO). Finally a good photo of one of our little confrontations.

Consuela, good luck! I am glad they are posting the job and I will send all possible jobma your way.

Yay. Well, I really wanted a big fucking steak anad an ambien. I think the ambien might be a bad idea?

It is outpatient. shock wave lithotripsy. Fun to type -- less fun to say. Fuck it. This has been a month of shit. Every time I have had a day off it's fucked up for some reason. Usually medical. I cannot wait for September to be over.

I'm also feeling sort of teary and pissed at my hubris and stupidity. Of COURSE it's not that easy. Nothing ever is. And of course my body has, yet again found one more way to betray me. blargh.

And in a completely self pitying move, the massage I had scheduled for yesterday had to be cancelled. Growl.

Sometimes, I'm a little shocked how much I enjoy hitting other girls on skates. She was especially fun--she spent the whole night jawing at me about elbows. I didn't have a single penalty that bout.

Boo on cancelled massage. I hope the surgery goes quickly and easily.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This has been a month of shit.

Yeah it has. May October treat you better. Starting ASAP

Awesome pic, Cash!

Your insides are getting a massage? OK, not a silver lining.

I'm watching this Frontline 'Dropout Nation' and I swear to god, FNL may not have based Tammy Taylor off this dean/counselor, they sure could have. Attitude, mannerisms, dedication, the way she talks to kids. Connie Britton even looks a lot like her. A lot of the other educators have the same skill and rapport with the kids, she's just a ringer for Tammy in so many ways.

Not going to watch Dropout Nation as I live it, but I'm curious. Has the dropout rate changed dramatically? If so from what to what?
