We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I usually ship stuff to my office when someone needs to be present to sign for a package because I'm waging a war of attrition with the UPS guy

I used to do that when I was in private industry, but it's frowned upon in government offices. I ended up doing it just once, when my cellphone was stolen off my doorstep and I was too afraid to have the replacement delivered to my door.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Some of his legislative proposals were truly good for the country; pity he was such a horrible excuse for a human being.

He had the idea of awesomeness, but never made it happen.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Jilli- I have a fitbit also and it's a marvelous pedometer. I wear mine clipped to the front of my bra btwn the cups during the day (on provided wrist strap when sleeping) and that works just fine and doesn't show. It also has calorie tracking interface which is not the best (I have to research and load almost everything I eat, but if you eat the same thins fairly often it's a nice tool). I've considered upgrading many times but until there's a device also accurately measured heart rate I'll stay with it.

Swouncing

Skipping even more, because I won't have any computer access for at least a couple of days (due to Yom Kippur, as I already threw large paragraphs in Nilly "Natter 70: Hookers and Blow" Sep 24, 2012 12:12:40 am PDT ), so I'll have to post early that, according to Lee "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Sep 26, 2006 11:00:57 am PDT , Wednesday, the 26th, will be Matilda's birthday.

Lots of early wishes to the beautiful how-can-you-be-already-so-big? soon-to-be-birthday-girl, and to her father, mother, brother and all her family!

And, of course, a good and meaningful fast to anybody who observes the holiday, and plain good and meaningful days all around!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Well, not just yet. But almost there!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey Steph! A friend of mine just tweeted: "Mallomars are back! #littlethings"
