I don't think it learns either, which would be the greatest leap ahead for it, IMO. However, it works really well for my input style, so it's not a big handicap for me, but rather an occasional irritation that it doesn't know *that* yet, whatever this week's *that* is. During the time when I couldn't get Swype on my phone I used...SwiftKey which relies heavily on learning and predictive text, and that also worked pretty well for me... if it could have babies with Swype, I might throw my keyboards away. And, apparently, if it reads your FB and Gmail, it gets even better...so not the best partner for me, but even without that, interestingly fast.
I couldn't deal with Swype, but if I could marry SwiftKey, I probably would. Also, it knows me WAY too well, given the things it predicts I'm about to say next.
Kelly Osborne continues to look like a cartoon: [link]
No surprise, I think she looks really cute.
Yeah, lack of cable is a barrier to watching any of the best drama nominees.
WRT Kelly Osborne: I HATE the train and I hate how sloppy the draping looks. Even though she is a slyph now, that dress still looks too tight. Also, the dark lip is not good with all of the lavendar.
I love Kelly Osborne's hair color.
sarameg, I was able to watch the first two episodes for free on Time Warner Cable's Facebook page due to a link they sent me in their monthly e-mail "newsletter," and I liked it well enough that I went and bought the DVDs. If you would like to borrow them, e-mail me your address. When do you leave on your trip to Australia?
For anyone interested, the link might still be worth trying: [link]
Kelly's dress almost looks like it's supposed to be wrinkled, but even if it is I don't like the effect. Her hair looks great, though.
Also, the dark lip is not good with all of the lavendar.
I really, REALLY want to know what lipstick that is.
I do not know what Swype's website is on about--neither my phone nor my tablet use predictive text yet, and they don't state what version they're actually talking about, past "beta". And it's been in beta since the year dot. But because they don't distribute in Play, I'm nervous about installing and not being able to roll back if it's a nightmare.
I vote Kat Denning's boobs #3 behind Hayek and Hendricks.
Kelly Osbourne's mouth is far and away the worst part of her look in that photo. I find it jarring.
Okay, between two hours ago and now, Netflix has decided Eureka is a good bet for me. Did lots of people just zerg rush the rating system?
Homeland is now on my queue. Along with the rest of Western (and a touch of Eastern) civilisation.
Aw, thanks dcp, that's really sweet. I am notoriously unlikely to watch things on dvd (uh, and the only player that works is my laptop and that's not going to AUS.) Basically, if it is on broadcast when I'm home, I'll watch, otherwise I have plenty else to use up my time. I've only seen season 1 of the Wire because of the blizzard in 2010 despite having had the rest of the seasons in house (neighbor's) until I admitted I just wasn't getting around to them.
