Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Emmett is 25, i think. It would explain so much. Happy birthday, Sasquatch!

Tips from the ER: if you lose a tooth and it looks like it's in good condition, rinse off any debris, and KEEP OUT IN YOUR MOUTH until you get to a medical professional and hand it over.

The milk thing tops out at 20 minutes, max. Say bye bye to the nice canine.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Scrappy, I'm so sorry about your mother's news but so glad that you were able to be there.

Happy birthday Emmett!

And um, let's see, I'm on day whatever of this latest insomnia attack. Last night slept 4 hours, haven't had more than 4 or 5 hours of sleep all week. I'm getting a bit stressed about it as I am starting to lose a bit of my executive functioning ability. I decided to just get up this am at 5 and accept defeat with the idea of getting a bit of grading done before my day started properly. Instead I'm awake for Franny calling out for comfort at 5:30 and then again just a few minutes ago when Isaac woke up as well. Tucked him in with his dad. Now to grade.

Oh and ita, DH lost his two front teeth. His mom did the milk thing and drove him to the dentist, not the ER, and they promptly replaced them and they've been in his head ever since.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

just after getting up, mac threw up twice. ugh.

about 100 kids were out of his school at the end of last week with a stomach virus, I hope he does not stay sick all day.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy birthday, you big I-probably-can't-call-you-a-boy-anymore-can-I?

I still call him big boy, as I have since he was one.

(at least not to your face, since it's probably way way over mine. I may be able to talk straight to your elbow or something)

You could totally talk to the middle of his bicep, Nilly.

Intriguing theory. But how then to explain the entirely goofy adolescent behavior?

Ugh, indeed. They get so miserable with the stomach viruses.

Get well, mac!

Male. Quod erat demonstrandum.

One of the nurses who pays attention ("Didn't you go home last week? For a wedding?") was paying attention, although she's not good at telling apart her cartoon ducks: [link] . Now that I've tanned into the hospital brand of "grownup" band aids, they're even more boring.

I stopped for a chat with the mother of the girl who lost the tooth (shower fall in the hotel on vacation--first hospital couldn't save her tooth, and it was probably too late for this one). Tooth girl has chronic migraines. Tooth mother was wearing the three wolf shirt. Spotted in the wild, probably unorpnically.

Weird.

Poor mac! I hate stomach bugs. Hope he recovers quickly and you stay well yourself, msbelle.

Poor kid, losing a tooth like that. DH fell too, that's how his came out. I guess he was really lucky.

This is timely, considering the conversation I'm having with my sister: [link] . It's a little (former, not athlete), but it's a teeny bit closer than before. I wonder if we'll get a coach (umps and refs--would they be news?), retired if required, first?

I was randomly surfing tumblr, and came across this tirade, and the show it's about is completely irrelevant:

Why, it’s none other than the very sad, very heartbreaking (and very pointless) death of [any character you please].

Pointless? Why? Well, I’ll tell you why.

[This person] was a legacy character. [They were] loved and adored by pretty much EVERYONE in the entire fandom, and so was the pairing of [them and that other person]. We all wanted [them] back together, but nooooooooooooo. [SHOWRUNNER] THE [EXPLETIVE DELETED] HAD TO TAKE [THEM] FROM US.

Ah, poor boo. They don't write like a 12 year old, but they do seem to watch TV with the hopes of one. And this isn't even Joss they're talking about.

Some arguments are "that sad thing had no point--it was pain for shock's sake". This one isn't. The post was longer, and just seemed to be "Kill someone no one cares about, will you? Yes, someone suggest that to Tim. Solves everything.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It was definitely the highlight of 90210 original flavor -- I totally remember the ad with "One of the gang will die!" and they flashed picture of the gang...plus one person who had showed up for the first time in the previous episode.

Successfully walked for Alzheimer's, am now home to rest a bit before family dinner.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The one with David's friend who shot himself? That guy had been around in the background for a while, but mostly just being annoying. I think his death was the first storyline where him being there actually mattered -- all the rest of the times, it was David being the annoying freshman, and other kid pointlessly agreeing with him on every annoying thing he said.
