I swear to god a formerly reasonable (well, she thinks actions have consequences in The Vampire Diaries, so she's not
all
there) IO9 poster seems to be saying that a Creationist and Stephen Hawking are two sides of the same coin. And as an agnostic, she feels superior to both, because she has no faith at all, so she'll never be wrong. I don't get the impression Stephen Hawking minds being wrong, if he learns what is right in the same moment. At least, not compared to your average Creationist who holds to the 6000yr timeline, which is what was under discussion. But that's a vibe, not a fact.
However, if she equates the 6000yr timeline with modern physics, at the simplest of things, she's equating something that *is* proven wrong with something that isn't, and how are those equivalent?
I must be reading her wrong.
I am grumpy because this list: [link] doesn't indicate how the arrests/investigations/court cases went. Some of those guys, maybe all, were guilty. But I don't even know how many were
found
guilty. I can get my knickers in a twist about the no contests, but not about all the rest.
Go you with your mad auditing skills, msbelle.
Happy Birthday, Sophia!! Happy Birthday, smonster!!
Some people are invested in being right. Others in knowing the truth. I think Stephen Hawking just really wants to know. I admire that.
I have no idea where is the appropriate place to post this chickie's tumblr: [link]
She has to be one of the most ridiculously talented fanartists I've ever seen. Like, if she's not making a million dollars doing that...if those are some cheap flashy tricks I'm being impressed by...I DON'T FUCKING CARE. That's so beautiful.

It winds up being apples to oranges. Chris Brown was not only beyond any reasonable doubt guilty, but the woman he beat the crap out of was as famous as he was, if not more so. If she'd just been his nameless, less famous girlfriend, then I don't think it would have got even half the press it did.
It's a hell of a lot more complicated than just race here.
Jesse- have you recieved this for Good Things? [link]
Reason umpty-billion I love my Tumblr peeps: I just asked them to please explain what the hell this "Soft Grunge" tag/movement/
thing
is, and so far all the answers I'm getting are,
"We don't know, and it's probably bullshit."
This makes up for some of the babygoths trying to stir up drama and start scene wars. Bless.
Did Kate P's husband ever make it home?
He did, yay! Apparently they had *just* closed the door to the plane when he arrived, and then another person ran up behind him also needing to get on the plane, and the gate agent kept saying no, until a third person came racing up, at which point the agent gave up and let them all on. Phew!
Since then, we have been working our asses off getting the new house ready and the old house packed up. JFC, I hate moving. Thank god for an understanding boss who let me take off way more time this week than I'd anticipated.
I am tired like a tired thing, but after work tonight I am driving to OKC. Mac and me in a hotel woohoo - adventure time, trying to get him to relax into the idea of a vacation.
Woohoo! Do you need recommendations for places to go? Uh, although mostly what I can tell you about OKC is which few restaurants have some decent veggie options, so perhaps not much help, but I'm happy to share the little I know!
