May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

The kicker in those videos are 2 sentiments he expresses:

1. That the democratic base is made up entirely of people not paying federal income tax, who are receiving checks from the government, are voting for Obama only to continue receiving that money, and who are also lazy shiftless bums.

2. That as president, Romney would have no responsibility to that portion of the American population, because they won't pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

Oh, wait, and No. 3, which is that if he were Latino, he'd have the election in the bag, because you know it's such an advantage to be Latino in this country.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm surprised that he views that large a percentage of the populace as worthless parasites. I figured that would only apply to the 8% or so that are unempployed, and that the rest of us that make less than $200,000 a year would be more akin to serfs that are essential to the nation until our jobs can be outsourced to cheaper labor markets overseas.

I think the Obama campaign needs to hammer on this: "Do you receive VA benefits? Are you elderly? Are you a college student? Are you a homeowner receiving the mortgage income tax deduction? Mitt Romney thinks you're a parasite and not worth paying attention to or caring about. Vote Obama 2012."

I am pretty sure my family got all of our federal income taxes back a couple of years this past decade. It was while the kids were both in daycare (so, big deductions) and mr. flea was working on his PhD in engineering. Engineers are notoriously lazy, of course. (And now we pay lots more taxes, but are STILL dependent on the government - because mr. flea is a federal employee! Still lazy as fuck, though.)

This. Maybe I didn't say what I mean properly. I will just point and Matt and nod.

It's the "those people" that gets Romney every time. Any time you say "those people" you lose.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

"Romney 2012: You are not entitled to food."

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Video from private fundraiser where he disses about half the population.

A specific half, though. The 47% thing is basically a trope among the right. I hope I'm too pessimistic but I don't know that this has legs.

I'm pessimistic, too.
