Sleepy cats often win over snacks for me. Especially older cats.
My father called me this morning, which was actually a big deal, given how hard the phone and talking is for him these days. Made me go awwwww
That is really lovely. And happy birthday, Lee!
I just had a fight with my friend (outside of work) who I happen to work with about whether or not a reading assignment in a Blackbaord shell belongs in "Learning Modules" or "Assignments". Like a real fight which ended with me being kind of nasty (he didn't finish college and I mentioned that as why he perhaps did not understand) and me crying (because he kept saying that putting reading assignments under the assignments tab was wrong, because assignments is only referring to assignments that are uploaded to blackboard.)
I think I am losing it, because that was totally not worth yelling about!!!
Sometimes things get fraught.
In other news, I'm watching the new Pyramid, and am glad that in 30 years, it will be as hilariously dated as the original. Just saw a category of "things associated with hipsters."
"things associated with hipsters."
Penguins!
OK, maybe not, but we can make it happen.

I think I am too hungry. I usually shut that down with him because he likes to fight to win, and it brings out my worst instincts and my worst emotional traits-- I actually care how our students experience the course, and I think it is confusing to have reading assignments in a separate space than assignments. If "assignments" means only those things that are evaluated, then we should call the tab "Graded Assignments" or something.
They fight (art) crime!
Very cool!
And now I'm randomly wondering if the FBI monitors their referrer stats.
I've felt very unfocused and random the last couple of days. Last night, with no context whatsoever, I suddenly wondered if Clyde Bruckman knew how Queequeg would die.
Happy Birthday, Lee! May it be sushi-riffic! (Or -riffic with whatever cuisine you desire.)
So now someone in Vermont is trying to sue to get Obama off the ballot here.
Only his argument isn't - Obama wasn't born here. It's -sure Obama was born here, but his father wasn't so he's not a natural born citizen and therefore is not eligible.
The state GOP has made it clear they have nothing to do with this. And he had to get a lawyer from New Jersey to help him because he couldn't find a lawyer in VT who would and so he'll be representing himself.

This guy also ran for US Senate office but lost by a 3-1 margin.

Let me introduce you to a dude by the name of Mitt Romney. Guess where his father was born?
