It was! I walked around downtown Redwood city for a bit after lunch plus I bought myself a piece of cake from the fancy bakery and a small bottle of sparkling wine from Bevmo.
Considering that I have a cold/allergy thing that makes it hard to stay out of bed for more than a few hours and zero energy for socializing, I think I did pretty well, pretend birthday wise.
CJ is going to his first school dance tonight. It is at his best friend's school. A bunch of girls and a couple of guys. But first he is out to dinner with his dad. It is KCD's 50th birthday.
