I missed the chance to take Monday off of work before many many other people did, so I decided to treat today like my birthday. I am sure no one will be shocked to hear I started with going back to bed, and haved now moved on to too much sushi.

That sounds like a great day, Lee!
bon, just walk slow.
so, I have been seeing PSAs for uterine cancer and the nice women in the ads ALWAYS say "I was diagnosed with uterine cancer, a type of gynecological cancer" -
1. why do they always add that phrase about "gynecological cancer?" Wouldn't people who understand "gynecological" also understand "uterine?"
2. If there is a worry about comprehension, why don't they say "cancer of the uterus" which is probably more easily understood than uterine cancer?
Clearly, I have thought too much about this.
I very much agree, Le Nubian, and had similar thoughts when I saw that. Also, wtf, why do we need these commercials??
Lee, sounds good! I woke up. Went back to sleep, and eventually got up and made eggs and sausage and coffee. Aspirin and coffee didn't help my headache, but muscle relaxer seems tentatively to be helping. Now to figure out what to do..,I should clean my room, I think.
Well bacon and beer sounds lovely to me. I think bacon on a turkey burger and a good beer together is delicious. Bacon flavor in beer just was disappointing. Not bacony enough and made the beer harsh and nasty. Then there wasn't enough maple. Which I realize is a me issue.
I went to a FRENCH BULLDOG PARTY today. There will be pictures, mais oui.
meara,
I think I can understand why they need the commercials. I think women too often ignore when they are feeling poorly and they should see a doctor.
granted, I wondering if such an ad like this would be more effective.
I went to a FRENCH BULLDOG PARTY today.
What?! You didn't invite me!
Fucking half-empty brunch place I go to all the time managed to avoid taking my order for a solid fifteen minutes. Trudged home in this heat. I won't be returning, place I have brought tons of business to.
uterine cancer, a type of gynecological cancer
My guess is it's a legal CYA - "uterine cancer" may not be a technical medical term.
