So I got a new tooth today. Well, sort of. She decided to to it as a crown buildup that will hold up until I do the full crown work. Normally, they'd do that, image the shape to make the crown, cut it down to seat the crown all in the same visit. We just did the first. They had a cancellation, so I got in at noon and back at work by 12:45.
They expect predict insurance is going to push back on this, since I didn't have the crown done today, but it would be under $200 if I do have to foot it all, so.
And then there was crazy entitled CrazyMom at the pool (um, your kid gets 5 minutes free swim after lessons. And then the pool is closed to him because they are still using it for lessons. You are not a special flower, nor is your son) and they had to call security and there was yelling CRAZY. This lady, wow, the chip on her shoulder. Must be be exhausting to go through life like that. They had to call the police to remove her from the pool area. SRSLY. And she tried to pull this last week too!
Several other parents and I talked to the security guy and manager after to let them know that Cheryl (instructor) was not enforcing any new and arbitrary rules, this is always policy. Crazy lady just crazy. It's posted everywhere that rec swim does not start until 7. Sheesh.
My dinner to tonight is jambalya. nom?
And mac and cheese. I really want crunchy parmesan crisps.
Okay, you people are not helping with my new nutrition goals.
I have been ravenous all day today.
My dinner will be leftover Crispy Shrimp, Vegetable Delight, and steamed rice. Food other people made, my favorite.
That is a way more exciting time at the pool than I would have ever imagined, sarameg.
My dinner was frozen lasagna, microwaved, and some avocado summer rolls that have been in my fridge for a day too long and the avocado is turning brown.

Yup. She wouldn't even listen to what they were saying. Kept saying shrieking it was discrimination, which ????? Her kid was the only one trying to stay (at his mother's urging) after Cheryl told them free swim was over. So I'm not sure who in her addled mind was getting preferential treatment. The two little white girls in lessons with about 10 other black kids (including her other son)? Me, the only other white person in there, in the lap lanes?
It was a surreal scene. Everyone was agog. I'd be shocked if they let her kids back into lessons, she was so abusive. Actually, if she does even show up again and pulls the least amount of attitude, I'm going to complain to the director formally, rather than just in passing as I did today.
