We spend today in town--we're going to dinner with people who can't make it out to Port Antonio on Saturday. So, fifteen strangers, late. I hope I'm up to it. And then crack of dawn tomorrow we drive out to paradise. I feel marginally bad I'm shirking cooking duties, but my credit card is out for supplies. I will contribute in a way that suits my limits.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.
Birthday is done. It included chocolate cake, Greek takeaway and a three year-old singing "Happy Birthday". As these things go, not a bad one. (No present, I'd already received my pressie - seeing David Attenborough in person. Best birthday present ever. Second place would be the tickets to both singles finals at the Australian Open that my brother got for my 40th.)
