Good job, Jesse!
Suela, that is a lot, and not only is it not wrong for you to not want to, it's also not wrong for you to decide to opt out if you feel you need to. Time away should be time you can enjoy.
Bon voyage, ita !! That's why I love my three outlet plus USB surge suppressor so much. I can actually add to the net outlets available, while getting all the electronic juice I need. So I'll even ask someone if I can unplug and replug them in, thus letting me into an occupied outlet.
So my former student presumably flew back to Arizona yesterday, finishing up his program. He was only one of three who completed it, graduating, and I'm super proud of him, albeit a little anxious to see how he does transitioning out of it.
Totally agree with Scrappy on this one, Suzi.
It's time for the annual women's conferences around here, including the What A Woman Wants Expo. Wherein they'll show the latest, cutest outfits, makeup tips, home decorating, and "ways to pamper yourself and your family."
Nothing about politics, education, health care, social issues. I guess that's not what women want.
~ma for your mom, Scrappy.
Thanks, guys!!
I keep forgetting to buy that mini power strip. Fuck, the Best Buy vending machines should sell those, never mind seventeen kinds of headphones...let me go look...
Lots of ~ma to your mom, Scrappy.
At the moment I'm hoping I can just take a nap once I get past my scheduled calls for the day, but new ones keep popping up. The latest new call, with someone who is on vacation and making special time just to resolve a hot issue, messed with my possibility of making the karate group class at 1pm.
Whine, whine, whine.
At least the overtime pay should possibly allow me to make a trip to Vegas with my BFF (she lives in Washington and is the one going through a divorce cause the ex was abusing their daughter).
It took me 8 minutes to find my car keys this morning, which meant I was late leaving the house, which kind of makes me want to give up on the day, since I am already behind.
In other words, I see Suzi's whine and raise you 10.
I suggest treating YOURSELF as a loved guest and doing something unusual (visit a local museum you've never been to, get a massage, whatever) just for yourself.
That is a great idea, and one which many of us should probably do!
Best of wishes for your mother, Scrappy.
Plane is finally boarding. I can come out of alert mode. I woke up an hour early, restive, and have been anxious ever since. That's why i like this milestone in any plane trip--you're no longer in control. What's forgotten is left behind, you can't buy another one, soon there will be no phone or internet, and all I have is the niggling worry I sent my parents the wrong PDF. Which is amusing enough that I won't check for a bit. I'm going to figure out how to turn off notifications for work email on my phone (this is one crap app), and then it's incommunicado until Miami.
Later, 'tater tots!
