I got an email back from my former property manager about the extra rent they are trying to charge for the extra days I was in the apartment. He's like, "Obviously you were in the apartment so you have to pay," and I admit he has a point, but why did no one mention this??? He's willing to make it three days instead of four, but I'm inclined to say I'll pay for two and just get it over with. (I would have moved on the 1st, did move on the 3rd, so two days.)
Thoughts?
This made me bust a gut laughing
The green fairy may show up in sweat pants and a janky t-shirt, but its all good.
The latest sample of trolliciousness from the Buffy study thread (it died down for a while, but one of the elder trolls, who had been ably smacked down by aurelia and ita, just wandered back in):
So you think that martial artists have to practice a style developed by someone else? The martial arts practitioners you have known are better at remembering forms than actual fighting. Most martial arts are adapted for marketing, not actual fighting. krav manga is a joke, I wish someone would try that style on me.
I guarantee you, sir, not half as much as I do.
Also, heh, krav manga. Where you kill someone with your pinkie and a Japanese comic book.
So you think that martial artists have to practice a style developed by someone else?
...Do all martial artists develop their own style of fighting or something?
PC, the stupid on that site is a stunning kind of stupid, and I say that in the face of Denton's most recent changes at gawker. There's just nowhere to get traction. If you try and whittle anything down to a binary proposition to highlight how ludicrous they're being they dissolve and pop up somewhere else.
I'm at that stage of packing where I'm tired and cranky and am sure I've forgotten everything and I don't want to do any more. I usually hit the wall at 4/5 of the way through 12 hours before the shuttle comes.
Well, at least I got the last work email sent. I do need to change my voicemail.
Tried to start my car again. No dice. I need to work out how not to be anxious about that for a week.
And I need to tell my apartment manager to accept packages for me for a week--which needs outside pants. Gnargh. But it's better than packing.
I just ate a burrito. A burrito for $1.75! Woo hoo Taco/Burrito Tuesdays at Dona Rosa!

He really should have that wish fulfilled (amusing typo or lack of education aside). There should be a Make a Wish for situations like this. I'd donate. And make popcorn.
