Today I am a racist. For some reason, Reddit linked to an IO9 page about the age of the universe, and because the new commenting system is so borked, a fair number of newbs answered my comment, thinking they're just posting about the articles. And they're pretty universally stupid. Which has kept my comment up front, and now I'm being yelled at for everything--for assuming that people who disbelieve science's opinion on the age of the universe are religious, for being angry, for feeding the trolls, for being an asshole, for being racist...I can't even keep track.
I was on track to come into work an hour early, but then my car didn't start. I'm in no position to actually take it into the shop, because I can't really miss work today, so I walked up the street to the car rental place, and I'll rent a car for today and go on vacation tomorrow and deal with my car next week. What does it mean when the engine sounds...tired trying to turn over, but all the electrics are bright?
