So far today: Dishes, counters, recycling, water the plants, revise eBay listings, and about to take Matilda and Emmett out on a photo-taking expedition for Emmett's art elective.

And Sean, I am so very sorry for your loss. Much love to you and all your family. And I'm thinking all good thoughts for your friend and his wife and children.
Next time you end up in the Bay Area, hugs and hairpats and comfort food await you.
Timelies all!
Last night we went to the Nats game, with Strassburg pitching.(Not very well, alas) Mostly fun, though the heat and the shrieking kids behind us were annoying. Today I took the cats to the vet(see Beep Me for more), we got groceries and I went to the mall to get a new purse and some other stuff.
Tomorrow we're going to the Takoma Park Folk Festival for a while, then, in the evening, we have tickets to see Rush perform at Jiffy Lube Live.(Still think that's an awful name for a concert venue, but what can you do?)

He's done for the season, actually. That was his last start.
Sheryl, all good thoughts for Luna.
Bathroom surfaces and mirror--still need to dust the top of the light fixture. That should probably be written down, as I seem to conveniently "forget" it consistently. Either that, or grow another eight inches so it's not out of my range of vision. Next, attack the festoons of cobwebs that seem to have sprouted suddenly in many corners, water the pansies, and then, light through the skylight being optimum, some still life photography efforts.
The weather's supposed to change tomorrow (high, 82F today, 66F tomorrow), so I'll probably take down the broom on the front door and switch out the summer decorations for harvest stuff and rehang it. And we may drive up Mt. Baker and take (even more) scenic photos.
That's rough Sean, my condolences.

I am twelve because I just think it's funny.
My best thoughts for Luna.
My parents are probably losing one of their dogs. Who happens to be the one my dad is most bonded with.
It's a bad week for pets.
While my brother was off helping to make funeral arrangements for my Mom last Saturday, his much-beloved 10yo golden Lab Misty was having exploratory surgery for cancer... which turned out to be much more advanced than even the vet expected, so she was euthanized with my sister-in-law's consent.
She was a really well-behaved dog, happy and mellow and you couldn't make eye contact with her unless you wanted her to come over and try to crawl up on your lap. (You then had to tell her to Sit and she would.)
I just hope her death sucks up all the Bad Pet Karma in my virtual neighborhood for like a year or two.
That's so sad, Theo.
I'm sorry for your loss, Sean. And I hope your friend gets better.
