If every vampire who said he was at the crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm sorry about your loss, Sean.

You think I'm not neurotic?

In that case I wish my neuroses manifested a bit more like yours do. You seem to bake gourmet treats when stressed, I'm still staring down last week's mounds of camping laundry.

Kids will have fun, though, as long as there is stuff for them to do. Adults will have fun if there is alcohol.

There will be stuff for kids, not worried there. I hired a friend who teaches crafting classes to come be crafty with the kids, plus it's at the botanical gardens iff'n you are in a mood to come crash it. But given that it's in a public place I think maybe no booze for adults. Maybe.

I'm sorry about your Grandmother, Sean, and hope your friend ends up being OK.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Olivia just correctly explained to me what a biome is.

Your kids are quite awesome.

I'm sorry for the awful news, Sean.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You never met Joey's roommate Brooke, back in olden days?

Nope. It's not like I've never heard of white people with albinism. I've just never met any, or noticed them on the street. Give that the majority of people I meet/see are white, it seems odd, if the stats are equivalent.

And Asians with albinism--that's more than never seen or met--I've never heard of any, or seen pictures of them.

Googling seems to indicate the highest prevalence is sub-Saharan Africans and their descendants, but also mentions peaks in Pakistani and Japanese groups, which isn't anything I've encountered in person or online.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I went to college with a Japanese dude with albinism, but I can't think of anyone else since then.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Sean, I'm so sorry about your grandmother. All strength and courage to your friend, his family, and those who love him.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I started today out productively, and have been to the hair salon and the farmer's market and cost plus, where I bought my first two Halloween decorations. Something tells me I may be going overboard with that, now that I have a whole house to play with.

Now though, I seem to be going back to bed. Ooops

So I'm in Chicago, and I got to go climbing this morning with an old XF pal, and the rest of the visit is solid family, including visiting the 140 acre farm in Wisconsin my brother just bought... It even has an apple orchard! Ridiculous!

So I can't visit with any Chicagoistas, but I wanted to wave hello and note how lovely the weather is...

Woe to the fucking wicked.

My condolences, Sean.

I am the opposite of Lee, as I've been relatively unproductive (caught up on TDS and Colbert, finished The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents, started a new knitting project), and now I need to shower, do laundry, and write the paper that's due tomorrow.
