Sweet lumpy minion, you're the only one that understands. Probably 'cause I haven't sucked the brain out of you yet.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oof. Good luck to him, Cash.

So my mother made a yard sale sign with some of it in Cambria and some in Comic Sans. Oh, mom. So mom-ish sometimes!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

How does one fake a mohawk with hair as short as mine?

I have just calculated breakthrough pain meds, and I will definitely run out during my trip home. And I'm not sure what I can get refilled before then, because I'm not supposed to still be on those--they're for my shoulder, and that's not supposed to still be an issue.

But it is, and so...

Now tagless for your comfort.

He sort of got moved out of Marketing. The essentially demoted him and gave him a pay cut a few months back. So he's been doing a bit more actuarial work. The problem is that the company is getting rid of all of it's personal lines--which is the department he works in. They fired 175 people today. 150 sales people and 25 drones in the home office. And as their current policies expire or do not get renewed--eventually everyone in Standard CP is going to lose their job.

It's a blessing in disguise. DH can't stand the company and how they work so he will be happier anywhere else. He needs to find a better spot.

Is this likely to mean moving, though? I am firmly of the opinion that moving sucks. (Signed, moved 11 months ago and not over it yet.)

In happier news, check this out! My nephew is 7 months old and 8lbs 3oz. He's a little booger but completely happy and so cute, with his tiny body and Megamind head.

It's a good chance we're moving. And yes, the very thought of it can reduce me to tears. We love this house and the kids love their school.

He's *darling*, but so tiny tiny! I mean, my kids were that big at birth. How preemie was he - what's his adjusted age?

I still cry about our move. I am still rebelling against the fact that we live here now, and me not having a job, and still owning a house in our former city, makes it that much worse.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

flea,

Oh God. My move is still fresh. I have a band-aid over it. I am now hugging myself and rocking in my chair over your posts.

He was born in January but due in March. His adjusted age would be six months. Still tiny for that. Both my kids were 8lbs at birth. But he was born at just under 2lb at 30 weeks-with an intrauterine growth restriction--so he was not as big as he should have been at 30 weeks. And he's allergic to all milk proteins so getting him enough calories through his special formula is a bitch. But developmentally he's moving right along--he laughs, babbles, and he's rolling over both ways, so he's doing fine. Just tiny.

Which is good because I can call him Pee Wee Reece.
