All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

In honour of this thread (well, not really) a little ditty called Hookers and Blow, from members of the Magnetic Fields: [link]

I kind of love this video.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I just joined Tumblr. I seemed to be stuck in the corner that's pretty pictures of Sherlock and Downton Abbey. I need to explore more.

Tumblr has things other than pictures of Sherlock?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

It has pictures of Michael Fassbender.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Medical~ma to your mother, Jen.

I wouldn't really want to spend a lot of time in close proximity to her anger

I do wonder about her meatspace world. First of all her girfriend--cis, or what? How can you seem to hate cis people so thoroughly and live that way?

My FTM cousin never makes us feel like we can't be on his side, and he's just defiant, not defensive. But I'm sure there are huge differences between being a trans man and a trans woman, because of the whole feminism issue. I can't imagine (and perhaps that is the point) what it would be like to include giving up male privilege in the things you have to do in order to align your body with your heart.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I can't imagine (and perhaps that is the point) what it would be like to include giving up male privilege in the things you have to do in order to align your body with your heart.

Damn, I've said that to Tim before. I can't imagine having passing privilege, living as what the world views as a man, and choosing to take on all the shit that being a woman entails.

Don't get me wrong; my gender and magical ladyparts and DNA (as far as I know) are all in agreement. Despite the raw deal that being a woman can be, it's all I know, and it's me. I'm not looking to change that.

But still -- god DAMN. Despite all my best efforts at being a good ally, I cannot quite get my brain around giving up the privilege of passing as a cis, hetero dude.
