Looking at that photo of myself in the changing room made me actually get off my duff and get a couple new bras. I think the point at which you get a free pashmina with your brassieres is when you need to start sourcing them from ebay.
It is a kinda pretty pashmina, though.
And I walked past Teavana a number of times, and got two small bags of rooibos blends at Lupica instead. And although I wanted every pair of shoes at Aerosoles (and there's a sale...), especially these, but I just got a pair of the black and grey tweed ballet flats (very disappointing the lace ones didn't feel comfortable).
And saw Premium Rush which I found pretty disappointing for a JGL piece. Coulda been anyone--there was no there there.

Mint simple syrup-- every recipe seems to involve heating the mint somehow, which I don't understand. So I do indeed just steep mint leaves in cooled simple syrup.

My sister just sent me pictures of the dress she's wearing to the wedding. It's this totally slinky tube thing in an aboriginal (I can't be more specific) print, and it's incredibly hot. And she has big chunky jewellery to go with it.

Yeah, that's how I do it. I usually ignite the rum I'm soaking the spearmint in.
Which I realize is not just simple syrup, but that's how I've done it.
