Ben: I didn't ask for any of this. I just want to be normal. Gronx: I wanted to be an underwear model. We play the hand we're dealt.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sorry.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

My neighborhood is overflowing with drunk college students tonight. And very loud fireworks. And a large moving truck which showed up at 10pm. I'm used to a certain amount of noise but this is ridiculous.

Lee, I love number 3, but does it really fill your needs? Number 1 looks most like what you have described.

What do you need to carry? A couple of those are too small for a laptop.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Unsurprisingly, I love #2, what with the black and the large mysterious key, but #s 3 and 4 look more Lee-ish.

So now you've got one vote for each of them. We're amazingly unhelpful!

No laptop--just an ipad (or sometimes 2), plus the wallet, keys, phone etc.

Number 3 might be too small, but I do love it.

I came within milliseconds of bailing on the night and am now glad I didn't.

Husband does improv locally and is also a green restoration contractor type. The house is so funky and wonderful. Several other single women (he kept saying "I invited my boys for you guys but none could make it. But it is my birthday, so this is AWESOME") he knows from improv, but of all sort of different backgrounds.

Massage therapist (who counts several Ravens among her cliental. She wants them to win because if they lose= more training, less downtime, she doesn't get appointments,) pysch intake person, my friend the CTY person, etc. Huh, I never got what the wife does and I spent a long time talking with her. Many varied and interesting conversations. And their needy cat glommed on to two of us and basically spent the whole time between us, getting pets until she passed out in overload.

And cocktails, which are my friend K's thing. She literally brought over a box of booze and simple syrups she'd made. My favorite cocktail was one that involved bourbon and gin (unsurprising that, but I'd never thought to mix them!) bitters, ginger and lime. Whoa. Suffering Bastard or something like that.

How do you want to carry it? That will determine what kind of strap/handle you want. I usually want the smallest and lightest bag I can get away with, but I'm sometimes standing with it draped over my shoulder for an hour or more in transit.

I don't have to carry it much beyond to and from the car--I have a backpack for non-work use.
