Bonus Emmett talk: As he and Hec came in and I saw them both standing up together for the first time in a while, it became blindingly obvious just how much taller he's gotten in the last couple of months (answer: lots; lots and lots).
So he leaned in to loom over Hec. LOOM loom, practically right over the top of his head. "Hey, shorty!" And, leaning in and down, way way down, "I can smell your forehead!"
I dunno. I could never actually use it, but "Hey, shorty! I can smell your forehead!" is totally my new favorite greeting.

Just got home after watching tonight's RNC bash. Clint Eastwood, just unbelievable. Love that he lead off the national coverage. I had been watching the earlier stuff on MSNBC at home then went to Mom's for the prime time stuff.
Romney did better than expected. Rubio is from my state and I always want to throw stuff at him. Eastwood, What A Disaster! Bizarre.
