I punched one of those people in the face for Dana this morning, on Facebook! Metaphorically. His wife helped me.

I just read the chapters I had written of my dissertation. It was an interesting experience. Two chapters were good and basically done; one was maybe 2/3 done, and the last chapter was basically just an outline. Reading the first couple of chapters was fun. Reading the third reminded me why I did not finish.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Glad your folks are fine, Dana. And I'm standing behind you to face, throat, or cockpunch as needed.

Jan Brewer seems like a cross between a hyena person and a zombie.

David, WTF? Linky?

I beat my neighbor at two games of scrabble in a row. He was an English major, so I'm not sure he's going to talk to me again. I hope he does, though, because we may still be stuck at least part of tomorrow. What's sad is that we decided to allow Tolkien words and names in the second game and count them double; yet neither of us managed to play a single one all game! Geek fail.

I cannot believe we still have power, WTF. I'm not complaining, but it's just bizarre now.

I love that Martina is digging on ita's cousin's playing.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm having a discussion with someone who says the peanut-thrower was a democratic plant because "real republicans" wouldn't do that--they freed the slaves!

I'm going to vomit now.

Because books.

I'm going to vomit now.

Can I come with? My mom tried to bring up the convention at lunch, and I was all, NO. No no no no.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

comparatively, but the last few years have been too dry.

We're warmer than usual and have had more days with rain than usual. Though it is hard to be certain because they aren't big amounts of rain and also they are very localized, the one weather station that I can find doesn't register them all.

Heck, today it was raining in the front yard and not the back for about ten minutes. Which feels Very Desert to me. Sharp delineation with rain at one house but not across the street.

Mostly I am just sick of the hot and muggy. And boob sweat.

That river of air flowing through Wyoming is amazing. It's no wonder the midwest has such storms, with nothing to get in the way of that wind.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

On a scale of 1 to your mother, how stuffy is this outfit? Camera didn't catch the detail of a self bow on the left side of the neckline.

I'm totally conflicted about it. I mean, sometimes I like stuffy.

And that photo makes me want to go bra shopping. Yikes.
