Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But her partner is 35, so...geriatric city, man.

How does she even walk to the court at that age??

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The other day I was just talking to Megs about how much I like Martina Navratilova, and she was saying how much she liked her, and it seems she called the match on TV? I dunno--I watched online. But my sister is the sort of person who video records herself watching TV and backseat commentating, so she also has notes.

To wit:

Quotes from Martina Navratilova:
"I really like the way Moulton-Levy plays. I can't believe I haven't seen her play before."

"I love her infectious energy. She just never stops."

I love the infectious comment. When she'd get sluggish and dispirited at age...10...the thing to yell at her was "Happy feet! Happy feet!" so I always watch her foot motion when she's waiting to receive serve, to see if they're happy, and they were happy today.

Is it possible for a jaw to pop out and then back into joint on one side doing something no more violent than taking a small bite from a not-tough wrap? Because I think I might have done that.

Went out to lunch at one of my favorite places [link] and halfway in that happened. A pop and my jaw wasn't too happy about having to align my teeth up normally. It got a little better forcing the issue, but after my swim was a little worse (jaw fairly slack while swimming) and then eating dinner, uhg. Seems aggravated by movement, so I guess there is some swelling back in the joint.

So.fucking.weird.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yes. (Though, my answer to nearly any "is it possible?" question involving dislocating a joint would probably be yes.)

I've never had jaw joint issues, so this was very random. It is on the side I had the new crowns, so I had been very careful about chewing on that side up until this past weekend (chewed up gums.) So maybe I just strained something weak. And the pop was just incidental. Uh huh.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sarameg, that exact thing happened to me while eating bread, also after a fairly lengthy dental procedure. Anecdata R us.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm sorry your sister lost ita, but I think it's so friggin' cool that she played the Williams sisters and that Navratilova complimented her playing!

It was over 2 weeks ago! But yeah, I've been babying that side. Manually forcing it (literally) is actually making the ache recede. Weird.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

My parents still have no power but are at the house of a relative who does for the night. No damage, and no street flooding so far.

That's great to hear, Dana. I mean, could be better, obviously.
