Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've owned one stick-shift car--my 2000 Focus. I really like driving stick but it's a PITA when stuck in traffic.

Considering the traffic in Chicago and that the new Ford dual-clutch automatics get better mileage than the manual versions, I got the automatic on my 2012 Focus.

And I didn't even know that the Ford Focus Titanium is cheaper with the automatic when I bought it.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

She didn’t recognize the description of herself and 'had no idea that she was missing,'" said the area's police chief.

If that had happened to me, before I spoke up there would have been a couple distinct moments where I thought about just remaining "missing" and taking the opportunity to just slip away. I wouldn't, of course.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

red beans- delicious, in a red bean and beer coma now.

Seems like the best way to ride out a storm, all things considered.

I just entered a bunch of CDs into Second Spin to sell them, which makes me feel doubly accomplished -- stuff out of the house, money in! Sweet.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I totally thought that's where that story was going. That takes finding yourself to a whole new level.

So today was my nutrition session with my trainer and it was...interesting. The big thing, the first focus, will be upping my protein over my carbs. Which will be a challenge considering the amount of pasta I eat. So I guess I'm stepping down from that. I think I can do it, it just seems like a lot to process.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry for your loss, Jilli.

I don't know how to drive stick. No one in my family knew, and our cars were automatic anyhow.

Gotta pack tonight.(Not difficult, mostly just deciding which t-shirts and which matching earrings to bring.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just reblogged something and put a snarky comment after it (he seemed to assume the picture of the dark skinned southern African woman with the light-skinned baby was maybe a nanny or a cipher, and I snapped that it was a mother and child, and now he's following my tumblr and leaving strange image replies to posts that make no sense.

Like, this is a response to a True Blood animated GIF?

MooooOOOOm! Someone let the weird people on the internet!

This is definitely something I struggle with--especially because carbs keep so much better than meat and veggies! I mean, you can freeze meat and veggies, sure, but to have random stuff in the pantry that you can cook when you get back from a trip without hitting the store? It's all carb-tastic.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that's really it for me, figuring out the convenience factor.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The good news is I'm supposed to eat more often, so hey, elevensies!
