Oh my lord, you guys. My key stakeholder is throwing a big swanky lunch today,
in my honor,
and I totally forgot about it until someone mentioned when I got here. Thank dog I happened to be a) in the office, b) reasonably dressed and c) all showered and shit. None of which are a given on Tuesdays.
And now I have to go have my performance review, for which I am also not prepared.
psst - brenda needs an asst to keep her calendar, pass it on.
Swanky lunch in your honor! That's nice. And it sounds like your review will go well.....
Hang in there, Gulf Coast people!
I am assuming my manager is not expecting me to run out crying.
so quiet in here today.
I am finally getting to that point in this job where I know a few more things about what is going on than annoying know-it-all co-worker who held the position previously. I am not eager to become the holder of knowledge, but it will make it easier to avoid her interference. She is so torn by wanting out of an admin position, but wanting to control things. SO much tension from her this week as I have stood up to her on a teeny tiny minor thing and also seen me answer things she was unaware of. I kinda feel for her, but really just want the lines between our positions to be wider.
Happy birthday, Casper!
And Nilly!! I missed Nilly but ye gads is that little boy of hers cute! And such a fun, crazy-making age.
