I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I needed fried food goodness for lunch again, negating the Wii Fit I did yesterday by like a gagillion. oh whell.

I am forcing myself to get the work done I need to, but I really just want to leave and get a manicure. IS THAT SO WRONG?!?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thank heavens I am friends with a bunch of ants, because I am a total grasshopper WRT to this storm.

I love this turn of phrase!

I am watching Weather Channel constantly and worrying for my friends and their families and pets in the path of the storm. May Isaac turn out to be "just" a TS.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have my meeting with the SO's trainer this evening, and I am freaking terrified. But I am trying to live a new life. I've been pretty consistent with getting up earlier and getting to bed earlier, although I still zonk out in the afternoon, whether or not I actually nap. Which is not good because that will be the time I need to be at my peak for afterschool, but we'll see how the routine settles in once we're actually in school.

Right now I am drowning (drowning, I tell you!) in receipts, but I have not heard from the bank yet, so I am plugging away. Sometimes I feel optimistic about it, and sometimes I feel like it will never ever ever end.

But otoh, usually I never get to this part, prior to the school year.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In nice news, Anna Faris (and Chris Pratt) had the baby, and named him Jack! Babies.

I can't believe how hard I am screwing around today, as my big deadline draws ever closer.... But it's not for days yet! I have plenty of time! (Unless something turns out to be really fucked up, and then I'll be screwed and/or working over the weekend.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Fable of ant and grasshopper. One is prepared for winter, one fiddles his life away and ends up hungry.

God, I am stuck at "work" babysitting a client's house while the cable guy works, and I am bored as shit and antsy and my back hurts. And I haven't had lunch yet.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

smonster,

I thought I knew all the fables. I have fucked up!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

In nice news, Anna Faris (and Chris Pratt) had the baby, and named him Jack! Babies.

Jack Pratt? And what will his diet look like, I wonder?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ha! I didn't think of that.

And I'm trying to figure out wtf my options are regarding my vacation (less important than lives and property, I realize!!)-- I'm supposed to fly to New Orleans on the day the storm hits. Which, I'm sure they'll let me change, but I don't think it would be much of a vacation if, say, the power is out everywhere and I have nothing to eat and all the restaurants are closed. But I don't know if they'll let me cancel entirely (well, and get my money back, I could always just not get on a flight). So much for big 35th birthday plans.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I can't believe how hard I am screwing around today

I keep reading CaptainAwkward. com instead of editing this thrilling article about thrombocytosis.
