Ever since I cleared the studio, since he came home from tour, the SO has been playing piano a little every day. I have always loved hearing him play. It was part of what I imagined before we were married.

I have matzo ball soup on the stove. I made an enormous amount of stock from 3 roasted chicken carcasses and a stewing hen and it smells so good.

My neighbor is driving nails into the walls. Because you are driving into plaster and brick, it kinda sounds like it is in my house. Loki is very, very confused.
ION, out of curiosity, I went researching lightning and indoor pools. Turns out Md is one of only 6 states that requires pools to close, though Montgomery county seems to have an exception. However, Y policy appears to have a closure policy There's never been a documented fatality from lightning at an indoor pool. Injuries seem to be related to electrical damage to equipment or to the structure itself, but not threat to actual people in the pool.
Grrrrr.

Tattoo consultation results: the design needs a few minor tweaks (enlarging the heads of the keys so the dates can be done clearly and with no bleed-through of linework), and my tattooist does NOT use UV ink. (He then said consolingly, "But I've got a kick-ass pink that you'd really like ...")
The appointment has been scheduled for the evening of Saturday, Sept. 8th.

For me eggplant is more a texture issue. Along with mushrooms. And sometimes squash, depending on how it's cooked.
meara's texture issues are mine. Most mushrooms will actually trigger a gag reflex from texture alone.

If it's after 10pm, and there are eleventy-zillion kids outside my window shouting "SHUT UP!!!" at each other loud enough for me to hear it on the fourth floor as if they're standing in my living room....am I within my rights to start shouting it back at them?
