You guys, not only did I get caught twice in a marathon today, what was meant to be a short walk that turned into a long meander earlier this evening got me caught up in a funeral procession! With the big thing they carry and brass band and and and. Pictures...well, some are on fb, but the full set when I return.
I love my freaking foreign travel luck. Basically been walking until I'm famished, eat something, walk some more, repeat.
And then the next three days, this will be confined to after 5:30, alas. There is an informal get together tonight, but I'm bailing since there is a formal dinner tomorrow night. But, shh. Me and one of the other attendees are really going out for tapas later. And lots of wine to fortify ourselves.
I got into Hufflepuff. WTFF?
Oh, and Maria should know: I did not blow up my hairdryer, but even if I had, I know where to find them cheap a la Spain: flea markets.
sara, I'm so glad you are enjoying yourself! Walk, eat, repeat sounds fantastic.
I'm at work today, administering a practice AP exam to a tiny group of students.
I think we need a master list of Buffistas pottermore names. I have one, but I couldn't tell you what it is.
I'm a Hufflepuff!
sara, that sounds so awesome. Enjoy yourself!
sara, I'm so jealous. Glad you didn't blow up the dryer.
How's the food?
Well, since I'm eating mostly tapas (and fruit, I've got to survive somehow) and since I don't really do the seafood kind it's a lot of different kinds of ham and breads. And things on sticks. And cheese. I need to try more of the sweet pasteries, but I just prefer savory. I've only sampled a few paellas, and those that weren't fishy I liked (I know, it is a failing.) And then some things I'm not sure what they were, I just managed to convey "not fish" after pointing to them.
I've even managed a few salady things...on sticks. Seriously, it was a cesaer salad on a stick. I dunno?
It's all good, but I am trying to find more veggies. I am missing them.
Sticks? The Spanish version of fast food....
I wish you liked the fish. The farmer's markets aren't teeming with fruits and veggies? Look for fruit and vegetable stands that are standalone in the neighborhoods.
Your new camera takes very nice pictures. I'm glad you're having a good time.
I could totally live on Spanish ham, cheese, and bread. Seriously.
I'll be curious to see what houses y'all get sorted into.
