The Republican Party is shot through now with an impulse to disunion that is almost an autonomic reflex at this point. Every solution they can offer has behind it the iron certainty that we are better off as individuals, that the nation best operates as a simple, loose framework within which those individuals can operate, and not as something we create together so that our individual achievements can be rooted in something greater than ourselves.

I'm pleased to say that my decades-long crush on Jodie Foster has just been nicely re-upped.

Amongst the things I'm giving my sister for her birthday are facial expressions and headaches. My migraine doctor is trying to get me insurance authorisation for Botox and I told him to make the appointment after the 15th.

She's appropriately appreciative.

I am about to go out to dinner with a friend, am getting nails done with my mother tomorrow, and I don't know what else. Game of Thrones and laundry mostly, probably.

Getting a haircut and eating BBQ. At least, that's tonight.

Well, I thought not much of anything, maybe working on cigar box guitars, but turns out maybe going to Santa Fe! Whoot!
