Yes!
So cute.
The entire rest of my office is at an off campus retreat. So I am taking advantage.
Okay, I'm also getting work done. . .
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I read on Twitter that there is going to be a "sequel" to Plants vs. Zombies coming out in the Spring.
Well, there goes the rest of my free time.
Yes!

I hope you're not responding to the Republican skinny-dipping thing.

okay this is probably the best news I have had all summer. this game needs to come out NOW though. I have played that game to the end multiple times, on multiple devices.

Me, too. Well, only on my iPod Touch. It got to the point where I would see road cones on the side of the road and automatically think "zombie hat!"
Yep, it's official. It seems that I can get in trouble for not reading an email, and I can get in trouble for someone not reading my email. I am not aware of anyone taking steps to make sure I read my emails, so I'm not entirely sure why (or how) I'm supposed to take steps to make sure other people read their emails...
This is kind of like when I was yelled at for not being brilliant enough to cope with the incompetent person on my team.
But hey. I took the hit for the instance on my project, but on the project that's not mine? I refuse to care. That's for that PM to worry over.
well still no childcare. the lady I offered it to is concerned about the hours (I am requesting she stay until 7pm). Thing is I do not get home until almost 6 every single day, and if I am going to get full-time help I want the ability to work a bit later if that is required. hmmph, we'll see.
That's too bad, msbelle. I know in Rochester it seems impossible to get someone over 25 to work after 4 or 5 pm as a regular schedule (we have been looking for administrative assistants and IT help people to work later and have been having a really hard time)
I have done one task! It was not on the list, but it was weighing on me, so I am happy. And it was pretty big, because it was revising a marketing letter for someone.
(I am requesting she stay until 7pm).
Yeah, that's a tough get. We had that with Matilda's first daycare but that was notable for being so unusual. Anything after 6 is iffy or costs a lot extra.
I don't know what the market is like out there, but that would be hard to find in the Bay Area.
msbelle,
do you need one person to fulfill your needs, or will 2 people do it? I am wondering if a college student (or grad student) might be able to do evenings, while the woman can do a shorter period during the day.
