The Best Scenes From Insane Old Star Trek Coloring Books
The 1986 Star Trek Alien Coloring Book did the world a great service by reminding the world that, yes, James T. Kirk was once menaced by a kitty the size of a cabin.
Also, the ones where the crew of the Enterprise visit a planet of circus performers, so they go undercover as clowns.
No, really.
Oh, the bride's brother (who is a musician) also played and sang Peter Paul & Mary's "Wedding Song" during the ceremony, and we were supposed to sing along, but they forgot to print the lyrics in the program, so we mostly just sang the "there is love" part and let him sing the verses alone.
"Our House." (The "very very very fine house" one
I love that song! Possibly because it is about Graham Nash and Joni Mitchell, but I think I loved it as a kid, before I even knew who they were.
I have not yet done anything but answer the phone and deal with things that came from that.
I need to
- Go through student worker applications and set up interviews
- Send room assignments to fall instructors
- Pick a date and write a course description for a Microsoft Word Class
- Plan Word Class
- Do the same for excel
- find a date for Wound Closure Class
- Draft end-of-course instructor summaries for instructors who have left the university, and one instructor who is super behind, because we are getting a review from accreditors
- Set up a complex meeting
- Update Website
- Sned email to big-wig with our registration needs
- Read and revise my student's research for some projects for my boss.
Arrgh! All so boring to me at this moment.

For some reason I read 'Peter Paul and Mary' as "The Carpenters" and was imagining "We've Only just Begun". Which was oddly a song that I played for a recessional at the graduation ceremony when I was in eighth grade (You were moved up to "Varsity Band" for graduation because the seniors didn't play. Yes we had Varsity Band and Varsity Chorus, and you could get a letter, and technically join Varsity Club)
Sophia, maybe do the task that seems the most onerous/boring to get it off your list? I find that usually gives me victorious feelings that will carry me through a couple other boring tasks.
Thanks, guys.
Off to the gym, then to the yarn store, then the grocery, then back here, then downstairs to the campaign office to tell them, "Hey, um, I live upstairs, and I'd like to help out" (despite not being thrilled with his position on PIPA. The rest is pretty good, though).
Getting up any second now.
I look at that, and they are not even ALL that boring. But I am a person who likes to have ideas, not so much a person who likes to do the actual work. Which is somewhat problematic in my line of work...
I read on Twitter that there is going to be a "sequel" to Plants vs. Zombies coming out in the Spring.
Oh- are you here sumi? Did you see the adorable boxer puppy on Daily Puppy? [link]
