Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

wikipedia says:

On October 25, 2006, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Johnson, whose jersey number was "85", announced that he would prefer to be called "Ocho Cinco," which is "eight five" in Spanish. ("Eighty-five" would be "ochenta y cinco").[58] During warm-ups for the October 29, 2006 game against the Atlanta Falcons, the back of his jersey read "Ocho Cinco" instead of "C. Johnson". Quarterback Carson Palmer ripped the label off the jersey to reveal the usual "C. Johnson".[59] According to ESPN, Johnson was fined $5,000 for the stunt despite the fact that he did not wear the "Ocho Cinco" name tag during the game.[60]

Johnson legally changed his name to Chad Javon Ochocinco on August 29, 2008.[61] The Cincinnati Bengals decided to allow him to have it on the back of his jersey,[62] though Ochocinco continued to wear his old "C. Johnson" jersey during the 2008 football season,[63] because of contractual obligations with Reebok. He has played with "Ochocinco" on the back of his jersey since the 2009 preseason.[64] He wanted it to read "Ocho Cinco" but the NFL will only allow his legal name as spelled on his name change paperwork.[65]

Ochocinco announced on his live USTREAM broadcast in 2009 that he would be legally changing his last name to “Hachi Go” in 2010. He also held up a Customized Cincinnati Bengals Jersey with the last name "Hachi Go" on the back. Just as the words Ocho Cinco translate to 8 and 5 in Spanish, the words Hachi Go (八五) translate to 8 and 5 in Japanese.[66] However, he did not go through with the name change.

On January 25, 2011, Ochocinco told an ESPN reporter that he will be changing his last name back to Johnson.[67] However, on June 30, 2011, Ochocinco told an ESPN reporter that because of financial issues, he would keep his name as Chad Ochocinco and not go back to Johnson.[68]

On July 23, 2012, after Ochocinco's move to the Miami Dolphins, he legally changed his name back to Chad Johnson at Broward County courthouse as he wanted to reconnect with his former self before he changed his name to Ochocinco.[69]

I thought Hayden was in NC but left? Is he back?

He was in NC, then he left, and now he's back!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Wow, that is a name change saga worthy of Snoop Lion.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

For a long time, I seriously didn't know he legally changed his name to Ochocinco while he was still playing for the Bengals. I kept wondering why the announcers called him "Chad Ochocinco," as if it were a full name, when clearly "Ochocinco" was a damn nickname. Like if I were called "Steph Teppy."

Finally someone took pity on me and told me that he had it legally changed.

On July 23, 2012, after Ochocinco's move to the Miami Dolphins, he legally changed his name back to Chad Johnson at Broward County courthouse as he wanted to reconnect with his former self before he changed his name to Ochocinco.

What's his number with the Dolphins? Because if it's not 85, I'm kind of thinking he had it changed as a way to not be mocked by the entire city of Miami.

God, I am SO PROUD of the crackpots my city produces.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm seething with amyth envy. Even the move-in hell part sounds less horrible with such fabulous company and the promise of such a kickass evening ahead.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ochocinco

Having no clue who this person is, at first glance I was pronouncing this "ochochino" in my head, as if it were some kind of new eight-based Starbucks drink.

Having Strix here is def. taking the sting off of all the work hideousness. Having tonight to look forward to also helps. (And I'm even going to give her her first shot of Fernet tonight. Expect pictures!)

You get Scola this week, right? So, HIGH FIVE!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Well, now it's nothing, because he got cut after getting arrested over the weekend for assaulting his wife of six weeks. So there's that.

Wow, that is a name change saga worthy of Snoop Lion.

Hahahaha!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am dressed n honour of Gothic Charm School today--Jilli lite.

Pink short sleeved blouse, black skirt with black petticoats, knee socks with laceup pattern up the front, and Mary Janes. Best I can do at short notice.

I'm reading some pretty justifiably angry rants about Kristen Stewart being dropped from Snow White sequels as fallout from her affair, while the director is apparently suffering nothing, but the first one I saw said this:

Kristen Stewart cheats on her boyfriend, who she is not married to, not engaged to, has no real legal bond to

Really? Really? We get to judge how real other people's relationships are now?

No way that can possibly go wrong. I think we should embrace this wholeheartedly.

I mean, honestly, only the two of them know what commitment they had to each other. Only they know how much this means. It is not my call.

I think the firing is probably some bullshit (I want to do more reading first), but that's not why.
