my census tract is 78% white. Bah. In NYC my tract was 45% white and more than 3 time as densly populated.

Um. Because I hate the texture of mushrooms, I think it has taken me until now to realize that I'm also allergic to them?
I looked at Wyoming, to see where we lived that year, and man. There's just no one out there at all. So weird compared to Philly or New York or L.A. or Chicago.
Manhattan is pretty depressing on the census map. Not surprising really.
Interesting to me that where I lived in Memphis I was part of a 1% minority.
This is the first time I've ever heard anything about 4/20 and getting high. I feel very out of it.
This was the case with a couple people I work with. I feel like the cool kid of the office!

I think 420 is supposed to be the police code for arresting someone with weed or something? I have no idea.
Devotees will insist that 420 is the penal code section for marijuana use, or the police radio code for marijuana smoking in progress, or the number of chemical compounds in marijuana, or that April 20 is the date that Jim Morrison died. Unless it was Jimi Hendrix, or was that Janis Joplin?
All these theories, and dozens more, are wrong, wrong, wrong.
According to Steven Hager, editor of High Times, the term 420 originated at San Rafael High School, in 1971, among a group of about a dozen pot-smoking wiseacres who called themselves the Waldos. The term 420 was shorthand for the time of day the group would meet, at the campus statue of Louis Pasteur, to smoke pot.
