The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

On the other hand, I'm on the front page of CNN Living: [link]

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Must stop scratching mosquito bites. (I have several on one arm, and none anywhere else. I've seen some mosquitos flying around. )

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Dang, Jilli. You are so cool!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Way cool, Jilli!

brillig

Brave Jilli, putting yourself where the commentariat can get to you.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I admit I've been the parent of the screaming toddler before. Hell, I've been the parent of the obnoxious child who's old enough to know better too. Generally speaking we leave the table and go outside so everyone else can finish eating in peace.

Oo Jilli, what a PITA that copycat must be. But groovy for getting on the front page of CNN living!

Pfft. They amuse me. Awww, lookit the cranky people, outraged that I don't dress the way they think everyone should. Bless.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Even more famous now, Jilli!

At 4:30 on a Tuesday, I was handed 45 huge files to check for errors, in a code I'm not familiar with, to be finished by 3pm Thursday. This is TOP priority overriding anything else I might have on my plate! Except I have an issue going to press Monday. Think anyone will accept this mess as a valid reason for being late with the issue? Oh hell no. I foresee working this weekend to make up for the time I'm going to spend having been "volunteered" to work on someone else's project. ZEN HULK SMASH

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Very nice, Jilli!

Generally speaking we leave the table and go outside so everyone else can finish eating in peace.

I'm pretty sure that's the key to not being that parent.

Because books.

Jilli = rock star!

I'm pretty sure that's the key to not being that parent.

I think the other key is to realize when your kids are going to have a hard time. No two-year-old is going to sit patiently without a peep through a long formal meal in a restaurant when they're probably used to grazing and walking around to explore stuff while they're eating.
