Punishingly Intricate

My friend's roommate and very good friend was killed in what they think was a robbery this past weekend. So tragic. He had just recently moved to the city. Another man, a pillar of the commmunity, was critically injured in the attack. The police haven't made any arrests and I am not sure they even have any suspects. It happened in a, for Baltimore, relatively safe part of town. There is a vigil tonight and I think I will go. For what it's worth. It is all just so senseless and sad.

Because books.

Oh, lisah, that's awful. I'm so sorry.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just realised my post blathered on without being specific. Der. Rude and insensitive. Liese--my sympathy goes out to you and your family that are mourning her loss. Nothing is gonna magic that away instantly.

I set my snooze for 30 minutes, since I'm working from home, and it technically goes off 30 minutes early anyway, since I never switched back from the adjustment I made from when I had to be in the office at 7:30.

So I lay in bed for 5 minutes and then just got up. That just doesn't work.

Tech document question: I'm writing a test strategy document, and some of the audience doesn't understand some of the acronyms--glossary goes at the beginning or the end? I can't really expand it in the text, since it's a label in a diagram.

I'm possibly wasting my outfit on home. It's linen top to bottom--blue linen top, brown linen slacks. But kind of relaxed. Definitely cool.

Ach! On top of that, cross post with lisah. That's tremendously shocking and sad.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, lisah, that's just so horrible. My condolences to your friend.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

lisah,

I'm sorry to hear that. just ugh.

was this a home invasion or something that occurred out in the street? I ask because is your friend in danger? maybe said friend needs to stay somewhere else for a bit if they got identifying/residential information.

Liese,

96 is such a long life, but it is sad you lost her long ago. Peace to both of you. Losing the last grandparent is hard.

Because books.

I'm sorry about the SO's grandmother, Liese. That's so hard. When my grandmother died last summer, she was the last of my grandparents, too.

Many condolences to Scrappy and Jason, too. I saw a notice about his death on Tumblr before I had any idea there was a connection, and he's really being mourned.

Yeah, a whole industry is shaken. It's a loss of a cherished person on top of the any talent consideration.
