Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, and home is Jamaica, and the house we moved into when I was 8, but Jamaica in a larger sense. And then, this apartment is home, obviously. I guess it's the difference between where I live and where I'm from--I'm sure some useful language makes that distinction.

Hah, sorry. I don't understand how relays work. Seems like Bolt is out of it, but tomorrow will tell.

Apparently he gets to skip the prelims. Blake ran the heat, but Weir (who took bronze in the 200) didn't either. So they get to field whoever?

Makes sense from the coach's point of view, in terms of keeping your resources fresh and injury free, but as the ref, I'm not sure I'd allow it...it's not like I can work out how they'd cheat...if you field sucky guys to start, you risk not qualifying. If you field them to end, you risk losing.

It just seems...improper.

I had to flip through my tumblr and hide the Arrested Development entries. My sister just sent me a picture of the 200m winners. A picture. How darling! I told her I had seven million (I had just posted a 4 pic photoset before checking mail) and she asked for the URL. Damn, man--my tumblr has been a whole lot of black green and gold, with a side of Teen Wolf and the least Supernatural ever for a three day period.

Bad ita !

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Man, I am having the classic post-road-trip dilemmas. Am I more tired or more hungry? Do I want to be online enough to figure out where I left the dongle? I already made myself make plans for the next two days. AND I brought in the stuff from the car, which didn't happen for three days last time. Surely that's enough, right, and I can rest on my laurels?

hwæt

Liese, if you come to SF, your road trip wouldn’t be over, and then you wouldn’t have to decide.

Aww, that is such a good idea!

I'm seeing one of the weirdest fanworks (and this is in the history including knitted wombs) get a bit more frequent--fan!tea. I'm now up to three people in two fandoms who are making different teas tied to different characters. I'm more than a little boggly at the idea, and I'm the one thinking of having babies with her tea machine.

I'm, just...Cas!tea? Sam!tea? What is that? Why do I want it? I fear my taste buds are too heathenish for all this subtlety.

So, Paul Ryan is the Republican VP nominee.

I guess Romney's not going to move to the center, then. (Not that I expected it.)

Charlie Pierce calls Paul Ryan "Granny-starver". Heh.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I love Charlie Pierce.

'Suela - are you kidding? Well, people expected it from the wiki updates.
