Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So apparently LA has a big boulder.

[link]

Los Angeles is soon to enter the Guinness Book for largest boulder ever transported in modern times. Yes, a 340-ton, 21 1/2-foot-high granite boulder recently travelled to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art at night, on closed roads at less than 10 mph, led by a police escort. The approximately 85-mile journey, normally a one and a half hour drive, took a circuitous route lasting 11 days! A 456-foot-long, ramp-like slot in the ground, 15 feet deep, runs beneath the monolith, which allows people to walk under it.

Our Giant Silver Bean could kick that boulder's ass.

C = post pics of pretty boys, because that's what Tumblr's for

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Los Angeles is soon to enter the Guinness Book for largest boulder ever transported in modern times.

I bet none of its friends have a rock that big.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Dammit, Jessica. That's my line. I usually get the rock off.

I remain tired and my work remains unwilling to pay me to stay home and sleep. I find this state of affairs incredibly irritating. Still, better than so many other situations.

Ugh. Amen. Happy to have a decent income, but where is my winning lotto ticket??

Now I have "don't be fooled by the rocks that I got..." in my head.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Happy birthday, Empress! Today is merely a Thursday for me, but I AM going to see the theatrical version of Mary Poppins with a friend and her two boys, so I am pretty dang psyched.

I'm looking at Usain's tagline on twitter:

The most naturally gifted athlete the world has ever seen

I know this is an issue for some people. I can pretty much run through the whole thing in my head--black athletes are naturally gifted, they're fierce, white athletes are clever, have heart, work to get where they are, etc.

I can never tell from just one sentence (especially without attribution), if it's one of the ones that does mean "oh, and they have so much rhythm besides..." or it's just a thing that's true.

But it does catch my eye.
