I have a vague memory of best friend's wife telling me that the full moon thing was just a myth, but she worked the ER in a trauma center back when. Maybe patients' state of mind ceases to factor in when they're being brought in unconscious by paramedics?

I remain tired and my work remains unwilling to pay me to stay home and sleep. I find this state of affairs incredibly irritating. Still, better than so many other situations.

Today is my Friday! My department can't have everyone leave at 1 on Fridays so our summer hours deal is we get (approximately) every other Friday off.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My 8AM just got cancelled, and I'm irritated--I was going to be here at 8 anyway, but I was counting on it making my 9AM redundant. But no...I have to have that anyway, since 10 is the new 8.

Ah, well. I have a magic muffin, anyway.

First co-worker I saw this morning called that I was wearing Jamaican colours, so I'm good.
