Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I have ripe figs on the tree in my yard. Fig ideas, anyone?

Split them, stuff them with goat cheese and wrap them in prosciutto. Stick them under the broiler (or on the grill) just long enough the crisp up the prosciutto.

Someone bring me a plate of those right now, please?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Has anyone else seen the new lolcat/meme thing where they say "ermagerd"?

I hate it with the fire of 1,000 suns. More. ALL THE SUNS.

So of course my friends post pictures with it to my FB wall just to drive me batshit insane. Bunch of scapegraces, they are.

Went to a damn good baseball game tonight (who wants to be hit with a 100-mph pitch? not me! [neither did the batter]) that, randomly, Charlie and Martin Sheen were at. The crowd-cam kept them up on the Jumbotron for longer than normal, until the crowd realized that's really who it was. V. strange for Cincinnati.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

bon! Jealous of your broken arm iPad! Sorry about the pain! IRONY.

ita ! you take ambien, probably 10 mgs a night, right? How much sleep do you get? Do you get a 30 day supply and take one each night?

This is a NORMAL dose; are you having problems staying asleep or falling asleep with the mgs. you take?

If not, yeah people build up a tolerance. Have you? It takes years, and you can probably supplement them with Xanax at night. You need a better sleep doctor on MY NOT A DOCTORB advice.

But I have been dealing with insomnia and Ambien and dosages and supplements for years, and there's not enough long-term research yet on it's tolerance-building. And I'll stop blabbing, but if you have questions, I have educated myself pretty damn well about it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Watch out, bon bon! An iPad is exciting, but not worth hurting yourself over!

In my-exciting-life news, I have figured out pilling the cat! This is exciting. Maybe it's because he's so easy-going, but all of the advice about kneeling in a corner or whatever never worked for me, but just doing it on my lap does. For the past 24 hours, at least.

I have NOT figured out what to do with my corner bookshelf, since there are no corners in this apartment. I mean, obviously there are corners, but they all have doors or windows or my bed in them. I'm half-considering moving everything in my bedroom around, but not sure that would even help. Must measure.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Crap, I really think the bed would be better in the other corner. Can I seriously move it by myself? Unclear. Should I call and beg my parents for more help? Maybe. Hmmmm.

Lordy. Weather widget tells me it is 79 in my zip code. However, it is so freaking humid, the trip to the market soaked me. My head is acting like one of those soaker-drip sprinklers. It's only a 10 minute walk. In the shade, even. And I was sneezing and sniffling the whole way, which is just not fair (not sure if this is an allergy or some stealth not-really-bad cold.) Uhg.

Need a shower before I go get a pedicure and some shopping.

Cats are currently parkouring.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I moved the bed, and I'm still not sure! I think it's good?

I need a shower SO BAD, but even with the A/C on, I'm sweating moving the furniture, so I'll wait.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Yesterday I was robo-called by the KC school district, with a reminder about bus schedules, online resources, and school supplies. Dunno how I got on their contact list, we'll see if it was just a one-time thing.

Last night was full of anxiety dreams about forgotten classes, being lost in the hallways, exams I was unready for.... Do not want!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ita ! you take ambien, probably 10 mgs a night, right? How much sleep do you get? Do you get a 30 day supply and take one each night?

I had been on Ambien CR, which is 12.5mg, and since it wasn't working as well as it was at the start, she switched me to Lunesta 2mg, which has me back awake before midnight every night, and awake again between 3 and 4, and that's really hard to fall asleep from. She wants to up that to 3mg, but only 4-5 times a week, and to stagger the off nights. I didn't try and sell her on not wanting to deliberately slant things in a direction of no sleep because of the extra pain I suffer--just that I can't usually do a day's work on 4 or fewer hours, and that's what happens with no meds.

If she does care about that, her issues is that I will soon enough stop reacting to Lunesta, and then there will be no more sleep medication for me ever, and so then I'll be fucked.

Which...really? But there will be other sleep doctors, right?
