I was happy tonight to discover that Sweet Pea's adoption page is no longer up, which means she found a home. Somebody got a very fun, sweet little cat.n I don't know why I was so invested. Well, I do, but it was kinda ridiculous.
Awesome swim tonight. I haven't had averages/median/max that good on the 2 mile haul since APRIL. Before Spain. And I was achy and sore all day today, so I was certain it would be a shit swim. But it made the achy go away. Well except for the weird pain in my second-from-top ringfinger knuckle. Oddly, that may be a swim injury. Maybe.
Ugh ita, I think you officially need a new sleep doctor and a new pain doctor as far as I am concerned.
Kids are watching last night's gymnastics. Fun to watch a second time.
I have ripe figs on the tree in my yard. Fig ideas, anyone?
Wrap them in bacon and bake them in the oven? Or eat with blue cheese and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

I had some this week during fruitapalooza, and they were very good. Though they go bad sooo fast, it's not fair.
I'd never had fresh fig until several years ago when my cousin plucked a sun-warmed one off her tree in Austin and handed it to me. OMG. I'd always liked newtons and preserves, but fresh? OMG.

Has anyone else seen the new lolcat/meme thing where they say "ermagerd"? I just this minute realized it means "oh my god" and not Ermengarde (the old fashioned name).

Took nap, feel worse. Woke up with head ringing, could hear my eyeballs move. Now feel exhausted. WTF.
